Hungry Hippo Eats is where island flavor meets backyard BBQ—all wrapped up in a fun, family-run food truck led by Johny Walker and his wife Kerri. Inspired by Haitian roots, Southern comfort, and a whole lot of love, their menu is stacked with flavor: from the spicy Haitian Jerk Wing Snack to the melt-in-your-mouth BBQ Mac and Jackfruit Nachos for the plant-based crowd.
Powered by real recipes and real people (plus the occasional help from their adorable “kiddo hippos”), Hungry Hippo Eats brings authentic, unforgettable food to every stop. Just look for Calypso the Hippo—he always knows where the good eats are.

Hippo Fries or BBQ Pork Nachos
slow smoked pulled bbq pork over fries or tortilla chips topped with nacho cheese sauce with salsa, sour cream, and jalapenos
Ultimate BBQ Burger
start with a layer of mac&cheese, add a delicious beef burger then add slow smoked pulled bbq pork topped with Haitian Slaw and BBQ sauce served on a toasted brioche bun with a side of Lay’s potato chips
